Slower, yet smarter

Age certainly is another part of wisdom. When I was younger, I practiced playing baseball with my mates all the time. I was the pitcher most of the time, so I invest loads of time thinking of ways to make my pitching more powerful. At that time, throwing breaking ball troubled me greatly, so I mainly focused on enhancing the speed of my four-seam fastball. No matter under what situation, fastball was the only option when facing hitters or, more serious problems in my life.

Right now, because of the lack of weight training, my fastball probably is not as fast as it was. Yet age still grants me something called experience.

Right now when facing hitters, I am able to confuse them with a couple of breaking balls like shooter, slider, fork, or even slow curve. And most important of all, experience taught me to be more patient and observant while facing difficulties, whether in playing baseball or journeying through life.
