Tamshui, a blend with past and present

I’ve been living in school dorm for nearly 2 months, and, honestly, it would be an act of pure hypocrisy to conclude that I do not want to spend some more time home. Then, today I had the epiphany that I should write down some thing about Tamshui---a place not relatively far from here, but still is quite necessary for me to stay in the dorms.

Tamshui, a seaside town with a blend of West and East, offers tourist a lot to see. When I was back home, I could see loads of teenage boys and girls sauntering along the ‘old street’ of Tamshui. The shops in old street have become the most exuberant ones in Taipei county, for tourists never cease to pour in. For those who prefer a cultural feast, Tamshui offers not just a mixed culture but also a combination of modernity and tradition. For example, Fort San Domingo is a great destination for those who want to know what it feels like in a 17century castle. After the visit to the fort and ‘old street’, travelers often end their journey on the riverside where they can watch the stunning sunset which guarantees that a visit to the northeast coast is worthwhile.
